Saturday night it was JW-JONES BLUES BAND.  An unbelievably tight power trio especially considering their young years - from right here in Ottawa! JW on firewagon guitar and vocals, Martin Regimbald on bass and Jeff Asselin on drums. Fresh from 3 shows in southern Ontario opening for Kim Wilson & The Fabulous Thunderbirds the boys hit the Cove stage with a vengeance. The opening songs were so fast that I think everyone was in awe - it took a few before the dance floor got going but it sure rocked from then on. One of the highlights of the night was when the 3 of them moved over to play each other's instrument midway through the song and kept it going. "Couldn't wipe the smile off my face for 3 hours...JW, you and the boys are awesome!" Ian Jackson, Westport (a regular who has been to almost every Show over the past 4 years)
